"Master Julie"

Julie just received her Masters Degree in Education from BYU so we are now calling her Master Julie! We figure when she gets her doctorate we will call her Doctor Julie but until then she is Master Julie : )
What a great day! Graduation was held for the Education majors in the Joseph Fielding Smith
building. We all had to arrive by 7:30 am since the commencement started at 8:00 am. There were little glitches in the program (the microphones kept breaking) but all in all it was beautiful.
We got some great pictures because of our seat placement and enjoyed the whole program.

The main talk was given by one of the BYU educators and he played his guitar and sang for us as part of his talk!
Most of the family was able to make the graduation except Ethan and Zac. Ethan wanted Shannon to be able to enjoy the morning with her big sister instead of spending time outside with Zachary so he stayed home and babysat.

Mari was so excited that her aunt was "graduating"

Julie and Shannon took their traditional fun photos together just as they did in 2003 when Julie graduated with her Bachelor degree.

Rafa enjoyed time with Mari and was Julie's support these last two long years!

Shan and mom waiting for commencement to start.

We had a graduation party later at Julie's home. Rafa had decorated the front of the house
before Julie got up in the morning and was she surprised!

Shannon made the cake and as usual it was awesome.

We are all so proud of Julie and know how much time she has to put into this achievement.
She had no life these past two years between teaching 6th grade and taking her college classes.
Now she will have more time to relax and read for pleasure. (one of her favorite hobbies!)
Congratulations, Julie!
