Chris and I made a birdwatching trip to the Newport Bay Preserve this week. The weather was beautiful, blue sky and white clouds and no smog. We managed to go between the rainstorms.
The preserve had an interpretive center that showcased the plant and animal life residing there.
We saw many waterfowl and felt such a peace amidst the noisy city life.
After visiting we stopped at the local Wahoo Fish Taco to eat lunch.
There will be more bird watching trips in our future as we search new places out to visit.

Sounds like such a great day trip. That's something we'd like to do sometime.
I've actually been there with a biology class. I loved it.
