We took a day trip to Tillamook, Oregon yesterday. Our itinerary consisted of the Tillamook Cheese Factory, Cape Meare lighthouse, and Oceanside Beach. The weather started out a little iffy but ended at the beach with blue skies. (at least for a while)
Mari loved the cheese factory especially the ice cream : )
The view on the way to the lighthouse was awesome.
As was my cute grand daughter!
The Cape Meare lighthouse is the shortest lighthouse along the Oregon Coast. (though Chris and Mari look pretty small compared to it : )
We also enjoyed seeing the "Octopus Tree"
The beach was heaven for Mari. She loved the waves!
We went through the cave (it would make a good pirates lair)
And Mari ended up in a homemade wading pool for the kids : )
At the end of the day we ate dinner at Salty's restaurant sitting along side the Columbia River.
A great way to end a wonderful day!
