I had a lovely afternoon walking through the Powder Canyon Habitat Preserve! It is in La Habra Heights and about 10 minutes from my house. It is also five minutes from where I grew up and reminds me of all the good times growing up in the "Heights" I especially love it in the spring time : ) The rain had just stopped and even though it was a little muddy my hiking boots stood up to the challenge. So much spring growth and greenery!
An unexpected treat was the discovery of these California Poppies.
The little seasonal creeks and baby waterfalls are always fun to see!
There are many trails throughout the canyon and it can be hard deciding which way you want to go : )
It was a wonderful afternoon!!!
