The day for the baby shower finally arrived and everything turned out great. It was fun to have my daughters and daughter in law together to celebrate. Julie's theme was "Rock and Roll" her friend Kimberly decorated her house with old vinyl records and black music notes.
Shannon made a wonderful layer cake that followed the theme and we had quiche,
croissant sandwiches, and salad (and chocolate covered strawberries!) for lunch.
There were the requisite games, the first being a word scramble on songs with the word baby in them. The second was guessing Julie's waist measurement with a cut piece of yarn. I was surprised when I won that game!
Next Julie opened her presents and among her gifts were two diaper cakes!
The day was wonderful and I enjoyed myself so much!
